Flat Roofing Bude

Flat roofs fail at the details — upstands, outlets and joins — long before the middle of the sheet gives up. In Bude that matters more than most places: the EX23 area is dominated by coastal bungalows and modern seaside homes, and Atlantic gales, near-constant salt spray and driving horizontal rain make Cornish roofs some of the hardest worked in Britain. Our roofers know the storm-exposed roofs above Bude's beaches and the streets around them, so we arrive with the right materials and the right access plan first time.

Many newer homes in Bude have flat roofs over garages, porches and link sections; we fix the ponding and blistering these suffer from by adding firrings and a modern single-ply or GRP system. In windy, exposed spots around Bude we fully bond flat-roof systems and use heavy-duty edge trims, so the wind cannot get under the edge and peel the roof back.

Most single-storey extension or garage flat roofs are completed within one to two days with minimal disruption. On every Bude job the approach is the same — we strip back to sound decking, replace anything soft, add firrings so water actually runs to the outlet, then lay a high-performance felt, EPDM or GRP system dressed properly into every upstand. Nothing starts until you have a fixed, written price backed by photographs.

M.S & Sons is a family business — the people who quote your flat roofing in Bude are the people who do the work. We cover Stratton, Poughill, Widemouth Bay and the wider Cornwall area, and we are fully insured with every job guaranteed. The same crews that handle flat roofing in Bude are regularly working in Bideford (about 18 miles away), Bodmin (about 26 miles away) and Barnstaple (about 27 miles away), so booking a slot in EX23 is rarely a long wait.
